I drew AGP Grotesque after a visit to the Hamilton Woodtype Museum in Three Rivers, Wisconsin where I got to print with some of their collection of woodtype. I enjoyed the subtle and sometimes fairly obvious mismatches you have to work with using a fixed set of letters in a physical font.

I had some woodtype at home but not a complete alphabet and thought I could make some of my own characters in the same sizes to fill out the font. I designed an alphabet without worrying too much about regularity. I cut a few letters by hand – that's hard work. Someday maybe I'll finish out the type.

Check it out, I'd love to see anything cool you make with it. Drop me a few bucks if you find it commercially useful or just want to encourage me. Okay to share but please include this note.
